Winner Jungck Prize for Women Artists 2026

After a two-part selection process (portfolio review and studio visit), I was awarded the Jungck Prize for Women Artists for my artistic work. I would like to sincerely thank the jury and the foundation for this meaningful recognition of my years of artistic practice.

Jury statement:"The jury is impressed by the consistently high quality of her artistic work and awards her the Jungck Prize for Women Artists, endowed with CHF 15,000, in recognition and appreciation of her artistic achievements."

"Brigitte Lustenberger convinced the jury with her multifaceted work as a photographic artist. She consistently explores and expands the medium in various formats and spatial dimensions. With a sensitive and critically reflective gaze on the representation of the female body in photography and art, she addresses questions of seeing and being seen, making transience visible in its fragility, sensuality and poetry. Her own body is both subject and object. The act of image-making becomes a performative gesture."
